Cher D’Savery was born in Sheffield and raised in Oxford and was lured to London by fashion and pop culture.

As the new decade dawned, her move to London was precipitated by the opportunity to work for Simon Forbes, the inventor of monofibre extensions. Whilst there, she worked with artists such as Paula Yates and Boy George, and under Forbes tutelage, had her first taste of TV and teaching.

Cher moved to work at Vidal Sassoon, where she quickly progressed from salon work to the international academies and shows. As a member of the Vidal Sassoon art team she was introduced to the world of session work.

The transition from Vidal Sassoon to session hairstylist was guided by the prospect of working with some of the best session stylists. Such was her success, she became a freelance session worker represented in London, New York, Paris and Milan.

Cher’s work has been featured in many glossy magazines such as; Glamour, US Vogue and advertising campaigns for Burberry, Selfridges, Max Factor and All Saints. She has worked on a number of celebrities including Jennifer Lopez, Sugababes and Naomi Campbell.

At the Saks academies, she plays an exciting part in the eminent international hairdressing team, where her abilities and skills are used to profile the Saks signature collections and the group’s renowned hairdressing philosophy.
