Lee Pycroft was born in England and raised in London and the Bahamas. Fashion and theatre sparked her youthful interest in make up, but technical expertise and talent are the qualities that have propelled her to the front rank. She first made her name in the 90s with cutting edge editorial for titles like I-D, The Face and Arena. She progressed to work with iconic models Tatiana Patitz, Elle MacPherson and Cindy Crawford. She shot with photographers of the calibre of Bailey, Albert Watson and Annie Leibowitz. And advertising campaigns for clients including Ferregamo, Jasper Conran, Agent Provocateur, Issey Miyake and Paul Smith can testify to Lee’s commercial skills.
As the new decade dawned, the film world beckoned and Lee has worked with actresses including, Gwyneth Paltrow, Diane Kruger, Naomie Harris, Felicity Huffman, Holly Hunter and Heather Graham. Her recent credits include a Cate Blanchett cover for Harper’s Bazarre, Sienna Miller for the cover of Interview and the Naomi Watts ‘King Kong’ cover for Vanity Fair.
An accomplished public speaker, Lee has hosted a succession of successful seminars and press launches and recently signed an exclusive contract to represent the Rimmel London brand for global cosmetic giant Coty. She has a strong media profile as an authority on real-world make up for real women, regularly contributing expert advice to titles including InStyle, Marie Claire, Elle, Tatler and Grazia.
